How to get the University of Sydney and USU

Travelling by bus

There are bus stops close to the Darlington/Camperdown campus along Parramatta Road, City Road and Carillon Avenue. The stop closest to Manning House and the Holme Buidling is on Parramatta Rd at the Footbridge.

For buses to Manning House and Holme Building take buses 412, 413, 435, 436, 437, 438, 440, 461, 480 or 483 from George Street or Railway Square (near Broadway/UTS).
At Railway Square (Central), these leave from the 'Parramatta Road Services' stop, which is Stand D. (Going home remember to cross Parramatta Rd to get buses back to the City)

For buses to the Wentworth Building & Darlington Campus take buses 422, 423, 426, 428 from Castlereagh Street or Railway Square. At Railway Square (Central), these leave from the 'City Road Services' stop, which is Stand C.

In addition, the following 'cross-route' buses operate to Sydney University:
Route 370 runs between Coogee and Leichhardt. Alight on City Road for Sydney University.
Route 352 runs between Bondi Junction and Marrickville. Alight on City Road for Sydney University.

Do not take buses that head down Glebe Point Road (431 to 434), as these do not stop outside Sydney University. Also note, bus 470 turns right on Derwent Street and does not stop outside Sydney University.

For motorbikes and scooters, see parking below. Pushbikes should be secured in the special bays provided at various points all over campus. Bikes secured to railings or posts in unauthorised areas may be removed by security personnel if they are causing an obstruction.

Parking IconParking

Casual parking is available on campus for $24 per day - however, during the O-Week period, it will be very difficult to find a parking spot on the university grounds. There is metered parking in Glebe (near Arundel St), Newtown (north King St) and in Camperdown around the Carillon Ave area. There are public parking stations at Broadway Shopping Centre and on Carillon Ave. Motorbikes and scooters are not permitted to park on campus except in signed areas. These are near the entrances from Ross St, Western Ave City Rd and Shepard St (next to the Civil Engineering building). Parking here is at no cost.
For more information on parking on campus, please visit http://www.facilities.usyd.edu.au/security/parking.shtml.
