Lunchtime Acoustic Sessions

Wednesdays during semester, 1-2pm Margaret Telfer Room, Manning.

Calling all student singers, songwriters and musicians who can’t wait to perform in front of a live audience! It may be your first time in front of an audience or you may have done it many times before – it doesn’t matter to us!

We will provide the space and the PA; you provide yourselves and are encouraged to bring your friends! Please contact Colin benge on  or call to book a 20 minute spot. Hurry though because spaces are limited!

DJ @ Manning

Thursdays & Fridays during Semester, 4-6pm Manning Balcony.
Tuesdays during Semester, 1-2pm Manning Forecourt.

Are you a budding student DJ looking for a place to play and even to get paid for it? Well look no further because the USU is offering DJ sets to Sydney Uni students on the Manning Balcony from 4pm-6pm on Thursday and Friday afternoons during semester and lunchtime sets in Manning Forecourt from 1pm-2pm on Tuesdays during semester.

If you would like to play please email Colin Benge on  or call with your preferred date.

Hurry though because space is very limited! Please keep it chilled though as this is an afternoon-beer-garden-set; not a club set!

Project 52

Every Wednesday Night at Hermann's Bar, Project 52 showcases the best of Sydney University's comedy people. Sketch. Impro. Stand up. Everything. Come along and watch it. It's pretty funny.

If you'd like to get involved as a writer, performer, anything, email us at

Or, go to Carlo's house and demand answers. Violently. (His most sensitive area is his neck).

When's it on?
Wednesday Nights 8:30pm (Happy hour from 7:30pm)

Where is it?
Hermann's Bar (Cnr of Butlin Ave & City Rd).

Who should get involved?
Anyone! Sure, why not. We're trying to get you out of the woodwork like the hallucinagenic woodworms you are. So we can put you in absinthe and sell you to wankers. Anyone?

That's me! How can I get involved?
Email us ( ) or come chat to us.

Really? But I'm nervous.
That's okay. If you just want to hang out and talk comedy, we're down with that too.

How much does it cost to come watch?
$5 if you can afford it.
