Volunteer of the Year Awards

Volunteers at The University of Sydney Union contribute around 4150 hours of support and assistance through our volunteering programs. In recognition of the contribution made by outstanding individual volunteers to the University community, the University of Sydney Union and BDO are pleased to present the 2012 Volunteer of the Year Awards. The Volunteer of the Year Awards aim to reward exceptional volunteers for the commitment and energy they have shown and to support their future volunteering and personal development.

Applications for Volunteer of the Year are now open.
Nominees must be:
- Current members of The University of Sydney Union (USU);
- Currently enrolled at The University of Sydney;
- Current participants in USU volunteer programs.

 

Categories
Festival Volunteer of the Year

Eligible volunteering opportunities include: O-Week, Verge, Humanitarian Week, Interfaith Week, and Indigenous Festival.
School Tutoring Program Volunteer of the Year
Eligible volunteering opportunities include: School Tutoring Program.
International Programs Volunteer of the Year
Eligible volunteering opportunities include: Australian Discussion Groups, International Film Nights, Welcome to Sydney Trips.

Nominations close on Monday 8th October at 5pm.

Awards will be presented at the Volunteers’ and Student Leaders Thank You Party on Friday 12th October at the Verge Festival Dome.
