Wake up!
The hour is upon us. Scream with the jets, the rising howl in the desert, seething heart-surge, revolt! Cry with the tear gas, the hard-pinning cyclone rains, raging flood tides, terror of quaking earth, the tumult of water as it thunders across oceans. Hunt for lyricism amongst the cacophony of the chorus of tweets, the wringing hands, the hurried rush of news across your interminable screen. Yes, abandon yourself to passion, take up your lyre or bow, sharpen your wits! For these times are our own, it is our task to write them. Awake!
