Shaved Gorilla + A Close Shave

Entries for the 2011 USU Shaved Gorilla Short Film Competition and A Close Shave 24-hr Film Comp has closed!
 
Come watch the screening TONIGHT! All entries will be screened at Manning Bar on Tuesday 16th August from 6pm, and go in the running to win $3000 cash and prizes. Come ready to drink, gorge yourself on pizza and popcorn and vote for your favourite films!

We’re looking for entries in all genres – animation, documentary, mockumentary, drama, soap, comedy, spaghetti western, murder mystery, musical – basically anything you can make in five days that fits the theme!

All entries will be screened at Manning Bar on Tuesday 22 March from 6pm, and go in the running to win a whole bunch of prizes, trophies, DVDs and gift vouchers. Come ready to drink, gorge yourself on pizza and popcorn and vote for your favourite films!

HOW TO MAKE A SHORT FILM
1. Acquire an audio-visual recording device (video camera, camera phone, webcam, etc)
2. Point recording device at something and press 'record'.
3. Load raw footage onto a computer with editing software.
4. Edit into desired narrative structure.
5. Save onto mini DV tape (preferred), DVD, or USB and hand it in to the ACCESS Desk by 5pm, Monday 21 March!
